TDK Auto Supplies is situated in the Palm Plaza,on Wildey Main Road, St. Michael, Barbados, where it is easily accessible via the ABC Highway.
Established in 1994, In a small shop on Rendezvous Main Rd. offering customers parts and accessories at affordable prices and with top of the line service.
Owned by the enterprising Mr. Ralph Redman, the Company initially offered auto parts then expanded and diversified their products to include Autotronics and Accessories when it was moved to the current location at Palm Plaza in Wildey. This was a very auspicious move as this area has subsequently become the prime location for the automotive service industry. More diverse products came into play as customer request encouraged us to become more involved in other areas.
The name for the Company came from a source which is very dear and representative to him … His three children Tanya, Demario and Kathy. Using the letters of their names was his way of honouring them … A fitting tribute to his family.
TDK has become known for hard to find products and proudly presents the largest selection of bulbs in the industry, also strip lighting and LED’s, Xenon and more.
The road to TDK came from an unexpected source for Ralph. While always interested and having a sound knowledge from experience of cars, parts and performance it was actually due to an act of kindness which prompted the foundation of TDK Auto Supplies.
On one of his many trips abroad Ralph realised that many local auto enthusiasts actually traveled to North America to find replacement parts for their automobiles. Immediately he recognised there was a business opportunity and a chance to give back to the community by providing hard to find parts at an affordable price.
This was the beginning of regular requests and a constant push to get involved with parts at a serious level, which for a man already versed in knowledge of the Auto world, was an easy transition to go forward.
From there on the challenge was accepted, legacy was continued.
